My wife and I went to Ron Black's last Saturday. It's a new restaurant on Mamaroneck Avenue so we wanted to check it out. The decor is nice and it doesn't feel crowded inside. We ordered drinks and that's when the problems began. We waited and waited and finally asked a bus boy to find our waitress. My guess is that she was one of the few waitresses working.

Anyway, the drinks finally came and we ordered some food. The food came out rather quickly but it was definitely not something to write home about. I ordered a pull pork sandwich and when it arrived, I had to examine it to see if it was really what I ordered. It was just "mush" on a piece of bread - it really looked awful.

My wife ordered the salmon and she said it was dry. About the only thing we liked were the fries.

I understand the bar makes their money off drinks but people do come into eat and you would think they'd care more about what they serve.

I had a similar experience - the waitress took awhile to bring our drinks and then after that, she was distant and seemed agitated about something.
